OMG!! I am still not working... what am I going to do?

Lets face it there are going to be times when finding a job is going to
be very difficult to do. Sometimes it really has nothing to do with
your abilities rate of pay or your reason for leaving your last
employer. You need to remember that in tough economic times the number
of available jobs is significantly lower than in times of plenty and
that is going to affect how quickly you find employment.

Take our present state of affairs, over the past year or so business
levels dropped about 30% which led to downsizing layoffs and company
closures. Companies contracted people lost their jobs. Only now are we
seeing a reversal in these trends. But that doesn’t mean that there are a
ton of companies looking to hire you today.

Jobs are still going to be hard to find for the foreseeable future. The
number of jobs available in any given market are going to be lower so
you may not find a lot of demand for what you do. Do not become
discouraged if you cannot finding a job immediately (I know easier said
than done).

Your job search should be a full time effort until you are gainfully
re-employed. That means you need to keep working on building your
network continue sending out your introduction letters and resumes and
most importantly keep a positive attitude. If you are diligent and hard
working you will find good opportunities.
